Cristina del Castillo is a Plastic Art Teacher graduated at CONSUDEC, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In 2004 she did a postgraduate study on Contemporary Ceramic at the Art College, Misiones University.
She has done an important work on the teaching of art in Paso de los Libres, encouraging artistic activities from different areas. She created the course of Basic Plastic Modeller at the “Instituto de Formación Docente Profesor Agustín Gómez” in Paso de los Libres.
Since 1976 she she has dictated courses on History of Art, Art for children, Ceramic, Rakú, Vitrofusión, Practical Workshops and Extensión Universitaria, among others.
Her sculptural work is mainly orientated towards ceramic.
She has taken part in more than a hundred and seventy collective exhibitions in Argentina and in Mercosur countries.
She has realized twenty-two individual exhibitions and has received twenty-three important awards.
She has taken part in different events: the International Fair Mac 21, Marbella, Spain 2002; the Elit Tile, Santo Domingo Museum, República Dominicana; the Bienal del Caribe and the international event Buenos Aires Cow Parade 2006.

During the year 2004 she developed the project of Urban and Public Art Participation “Tiles of Artists”, a collective mural where tiles made by four hundred and sixty artists from different parts of the world were exhibited. This mural is located at the entrance of the International Bridge between Paso de los Libres and Uruguaiana, the frontier of Argentina with Brazil.
In 2006-2007 the second edition of Tiles of Artists will be made.
